I joined NuYoga on the 2nd of June 2024 and am incredibly grateful to have found such an exceptional yoga teacher. Nupur’s energy and dedication are truly unparalleled. Her guidance has helped me overcome my intrinsic fear & erratic breathing and significantly improved my back pain.

Her meticulous and clear instructions make every session both effective and enjoyable. Like most working women, I was always crunched for some “Me Time” between managing work, home and a toddler.

Not being able to do enough for one’s own health, I used to practice yoga on my own but couldn’t settle on a fixed routine. For me, yoga was all about surya namaskars, some stretches and breathing exercises.

However, it was during the successive pandemic lockdowns that the crazy hours of work-from-home and household chores started taking a toll on me and I realized how important it is to build strength and flexibility in the body.

That’s when a friend of mine introduced me to NuYoga.
After the first class, I was like, Boy what have I been doing my whole life…
Just one session in, I was left awestruck and inspired by Nupur.
She is someone who will make sure that each detail of your asana is nailed to the tee. She puts in so much energy and attention on each individual that you can’t help but go with the flow.

From beginning the class with deep breathing exercises to high intensity movements, we glide seamlessly through different routines because of the way Nupur stitches each session together. I am grateful to Nupur for being so patient and committed every time we turn up for a session.

Honestly, the power of yoga is so apparent to me now. I think of practising yoga whenever I want to switch off my over-active mind and connect with my inner self.

I must say….I consider myself lucky to be part of Nuyoga and hope to make a lot more progress; one session at a time.

It was in July when I called @nuyoga03 my former boss/mentor/friend/sister/now guru who asked me to join her yoga classes immediately as I wasn’t keeping too well.

I am so glad that I woke up 6:15 am, without giving it much thought and joined @nuyoga03’s morning batch. Yoga has taught me patience, has brought calm and peace in my life!

‘I’ve been following Nupur’s yoga journey for a while and had the opportunity to train with her for a brief period in the past.

I joined her online classes just last month. I was a little skeptical about training online, but after the first class with Nupur, I knew the medium wouldn’t be a hinderance. ‘I have been training with Nupur for almost 6 months now and my experience has only gone from good to great to superb. Since, I joined her classes during the lockdown, I was a little skeptical on how the online session would work, but right since the start, I noticed that Nupur has acclimatized herself to the new mode of classes quite efficiently and effectively.

I have been following Nupur’s yoga practise from afar and one day 6 months ago decided that I wanted to join and learn from Nupur as I have been in awe of how she has perfected the art to perfection.

Nupur brings in her personality, energy and a true passion to her teachings and continuously strives to educate and inspire each one of us in class. Nupur’s words ring in your ears each class when she says “you can do it” “common try again” this pushes one to try harder.

I consider myself “really” lucky to have found my yogi and mentor for my yoga practise. I quickly moved form three classes to five classes a week. Nupur inspires confidence every step of the way making it easier for us to believe in ourselves even more.

After taking a break from Yoga for over 4 years my flexibility was not where it should be and so many of the asanas were super hard for me. Nupur’s classes have helped me develop body shape, flexibility, and strength in the last six months.

‘I have been doing Yoga for about two decades now with various teachers and I would safely say Nupur’s sessions are top notch. I always tell her that the sequences are so well designed that they slowly prepare and take you to the ultimate desired yoga poses. I personally enjoy the challenging sessions though I may not look as elegant as we see her on social media. Nupur’s instructions are perfect to the word. The most common thing that I have heard from people almost all my life is ‘why do you need to exercise’ – just cause I am on the leaner side. But being thin and being fit are very different things. Nuyoga reiterated this fact for me as after I joined I realised there was a lot that I had to work towards to get myself to be fit.

I joined Nuyoga a few months back to become a better version of myself. All I needed was 1 class to fall in love with nupur and her way of teaching.

Her sessions are intense but flow with a lot of ease. She is excellent at giving everyone personal attention besides having multiple students. All you need to do is just show up for a session and you will be taken care of. The sessions are power packed and almost seem tailor made for every individual. She is truly inspirational as a teacher.
It is fascinating to see nupur conduct a session, as you will find her in the most complicated yoga pose herself, talking with ease and either encouraging or correcting everyone else’s postures.

I look at this as a wonderful journey, which has just about begun for me.

I have been practicing yoga with Nupur for over an year now. The attention and care that she gives to each student is incredible. It takes a lot of patience and genuine care towards people’s wellness to be able to hold classes in such a difficult period, but with great calmness and serenity as one would in a period of normalcy. NuYoga is probably the best thing to have happened to me in the past year.
I was only looking for basic flexibility when I joined Nupur for Yoga but her classes are a gift that keep giving. With so much patience, understanding and care, she has made me stronger, more flexible and so much happier.
The best thing is that every one gets personal attention and she is always accessible outside classes to guide me through posture corrections, injuries, recovery, meditative help, and simple moral support (which was much needed) No matter how I feel before the class, I just have to attend her session and I walk out so much happier and energetic.

It’s been a year since I joined Nuyoga’s online classes.
One of the reasons yoga has become so integral to my life is because Nupur’s guidance is so patient, kind, encouraging, yet motivating. She is so gentle in corrections and makes you feel so great to have made an improvement.

How my life has changed in the last 1 year of yoga –
1. Lost 8 kgs (while maintaining a calorie deficit diet)
2. Dealt with chronic back pain in the past, which has reduced by 60%
3. Increased physical strength – I’ve gone from 0 suryanamaskars to 122
4. Connecting with my breath has taught me to be mindful of the present. I’ve noticed reduced anxiety levels and a calmer mind.
6. ‘Balance’ was a challenge for me, which I’m slowly improving.
7. As someone who has insomnia, yoga has greatly improved my sleeping patterns

‘Learning Yoga with Nupur has been one of the best decisions I took in my chaos filled life in 2020. I joined Nupur at a time when I was going through a major burnout at work, and amidst a pandemic I didn’t know how to reverse the effects it had on my body and mind. I had always wanted to join Nupur seeing her inspiring FB posts, and I thought now is the best time to join since distance+Bombay traffic were no more excuses and I can join from the comfort of my own room.

While I am both a trained dancer and have practiced yoga as a child all through school, nothing prepared me for the wonderment I saw my body go through in Nupur’s class. Nupur’s sessions are Hatha Yoga at its best (neither monotonous nor so pumped up that it loses the essence of Yoga). It is the perfect balance between stamina building, strength training, balance and replenishment to every single part of the body (yes – each class focuses on a different part of your body!). Despite battling multiple health struggles this last year – including COVID – I have watched my body bounce back with more strength and power each time, and I only have Nupur to thank for. Although it’s a group class, Nupur’s attention and care for reaching out to every student shows through. She regularly checks in with me to understand any ongoing health issues and guides me specifically on how each movement and posture is to be done, keeping in mind my own body’s strengths and limitations. Despite being a group class, in each session you will hear Nupur call out to each student personally and tell them what to do and more importantly what not to risk.

The most important thing I learned with Nupur and continue to learn is in her words ‘to listen to my body’ and truly respect it. During difficult postures, she motivates and pushes you to excel but never at the cost of hurting yourself. She always asks me to pause and listen to what my body is telling me and respond accordingly, to never compare myself to her or to anyone else in class and to focus on my own strength and power. I can never forget the day I first did a perfect Chakrasan and I remember her shouting out with glee and pride in class ‘What a strong back you have!’. For me, it is truly the best compliment I have ever received, because more than beauty, it’s a reminder of the strength and power I built in my body, which I owe completely to Nupur!’

‘I was hoping to write this as a token of appreciation to Nupur on the first year anniversary but i couldnt wait any longer.
Being a yoga lover and a yoga instructor for the past 4 years even we as teachers sometime lose motivation..and yoga is something we can not just learn in 1 or 4 years , its a process of learning no matter what stage you are at. Training with Nupur was the best decision i took last year when the pandemic started and from then onwards there was no looking back.I can see my progress in many postures i could never imagine i would do, she constantly keeps us going( not to forget the counting with always exceeds 10 😜). Although I used to practice light yoga since my childhood, it was 4 months ago when I decided to join yoga classes to improve upon myself and understand yoga better. My 4 year search for a good yoga teacher suddenly materialised due to COVID (because of online sessions), when I started taking classes with Nupur, as referred by a close friend Suvidha. And Io and behold, I gradually started observing changes in my mind and body.

Nupur’s energy is infectious. With her I started to understand that there’s much more to yoga than just performing a few asanas. Yoga imbibed patience and mental peace within me. With Nupur’s yoga I felt calm, relaxed and happy throughout the day. Nupur explains the postures in such an easy way that one feels like it’s cakewalk. She breaks the sequence into small steps that makes it easier for us to implement. She taught me to do head stand within a month, which I had considered almost impossible.

Now my mornings start with Nupur thrice a week and on those 3 days I feel more agile, rejuvenated, flexible, happier, calmer and grateful than other days of the week. Mornings with Nupur give me strength and energy for the hectic day ahead. Her qualities of making us accept our strength, being grateful for what we have, striving for perfection in each moment but without injuring oneself and giving personal attention to all students in a class makes her stand out. Nupur’s sessions have become a habit now, both for me and my two and a half year old daughter, who keenly observes us in the morning and tries to copy those postures throughout the day.

‘Nupur’s class are simultaneously one of the highlights and one of the things I dread most about my week. Dreaded, because I know she’ll be encouraging us to contort our bodies into shapes nobody should be able to make (although she’ll be talking to us while casually flowing into the asanas) but a highlight because not only of the way I’ll feel afterwards, but also because of her calm energy and encouraging attitude. I don’t know how she watches an entire class over Zoom at the same time, but I do know if I ever let my left thigh drop, I can look forward to her “try, try and keep it up” in my ear. Not only does the class physically help me, but the sense of peace she exudes helps clear our minds as well. I can also personally speak to the physical benefits while still not being able to get into 1/100th of the positions that she does – since doing the class, I’ve spent hours hunched over on my front lawn or stuck driving and while before this would’ve ended up with me in bed for at least a full evening, now I don’t even feel it. Truly, just “trying” has made a huge difference to my life!’


‘I have been practicing yoga with Nupur Since February 2021. I always thought my body was stiff and Yoga is not for me, but I was wrong. I am an absolute beginner and not familiar with all the poses, but she helped me progress quickly. Nupur is very observant, constantly checks to make sure that your body is in the right position for each pose and gives feedback. The classes are a bit challenging but relaxing at the same time. She is an amazing and dedicated yoga instructor. I would highly recommend her as your Yoga teacher.’

I have been practicing yoga with Nupur for many years now, and it has been an amazing experience. I started with almost no knowledge or experience of yoga and I slowly and steadily improved with her. She is incredibly perceptive and sensitive to your needs and really tailors the programme according to your situation. 
When I started, I had many medical issues, including a recent slip disc, but she worked with me very carefully, ensuring that my back gets stronger before we tried more complex poses.
I look forward to my sessions with her and even when I’m traveling for work or on holiday, I try to make sure that I can find time to squeeze in a session with her. She’s a wonderful person, an excellent teacher and is always flexible and open to feedback. 
She has such a great sense of calm and serenity that it really rubs off on you, making the yoga sessions not just invigorating, but also extremely calming and enjoyable. “I have known Nupur virtually for over a year now which is when I started practicing yoga. I took antenatal yoga sessions with Nupur right from the fifth week of my pregnancy upto my last week and it is not an exaggeration to say that she was an instrumental part of my pregnancy journey. She has a very individual-focused approach to the classes and genuinely invested in me to understand my concerns so that she could come up with a class plan which was both comfortable for me health-wise but also pushed me to prepare for labour and the other changes that pregnancy causes to your body. She would regularly check in on me like a friend – whenever I was experiencing any new discomfort or aches, she’d offer really helpful asanas or other practical tips which I could practice outside of the classes. She is super approachable, friendly, kind and a real gem of a person ❤️ Most importantly, her classes were fundamental in preparing me for labour and delivery. The breathing exercises and exercises we practised for 8 months helped get me through the long 22-hours of labour and also helped my pelvic floor remain strong after the birth of my baby.
